SUSTAINABILITY
Many of the fabrics that we offer are made with recycled yarn that comes from recycled PET (polyethylene terephthalate) bottle waste. Not only are our fabrics made from recycled bottles, but so is the manufacturing table on which our blinds are made!
Blinds made to block the sun, are also powered by the sun! We are proud to offer the latest, most efficient solar panels on the market today. These solar panels can remain hidden while ensuring your automated blinds never need to be charged or have batteries replaced.
Many of our fabric choices have Solar Protective Coating (SPC) that reflects heat and light better than conventional fabrics. The SPC keeps your home warmer in winter by reducing heat loss through windows and in summer, reduces heat buildup via reflectance.

Whether your installation requires specialty equipment or not, our many years in the industry help ensure your blinds are installed correctly, efficiently and safely in your windows.
CHILD SAFE
Corded Window Coverings Regulations: SOR/2019-97
As of April 2021, the government of Canada has implemented rules and regulations to reduce the risk of strangulation to children by corded window coverings (CWCs). On average, 1.4 child fatalities are reported each year due to strangulation from CWCs. CORDS AND KIDS DON'T MIX!

Backdraft Blinds is committed to child safety. This is why we do not use any cords in the operation of our window coverings. All of our custom blinds are automated to eliminate the risk of strangulation or injury to children. Our cost-effective solutions help make your new and existing blinds safe, through the retrofitting process.
